Are London Christmas markets safe enough?

London's Christmas fairs are busier than ever. From Trafalgar Square to the Southbank hundreds of thousands of people are enjoying hot chocolate and tasty treats.

But it is not just about celebrating the holiday season. London has had its own terror attack in the run up to Christmas, and now in light of the London Bridge attack, security is at the forefront of everyone's mind.

I have talked with Phoebe Long, front of house assistant at Leicester Square, and Patricia Hogan, Pure Maple's stall manager to find out if markets' staff are prepared to react to any danger. Should the Council invest more in extra patrolling officers and preventive measures like new bollards to help people feel safer while enjoying the festive activities?
